What we've achieved

R  Alexis and Mike saved North Harbour Stadium from demolition and an uncertain future. It was Alexis that was in front of the Mayor and Councillors to achieve the locally led work that she is co-leading.

R  Julia re-established a relationship with Paremoremo prison to deliver cost-effective native plants, art and furniture for our community.

R  Gregg led the development of Community Resilience Groups and storm recovery efforts in the East Coast Bays.

R  Gregg and Julia helped deliver safety audits and plans for our town centres

R  Alexis established a partnership with Auckland Transport to deliver pedestrian safety and town centre improvements for Browns Bay.

R  A dog exercise park in Browns Bay is planned to be built late 2025 following public consultation.

R  Delivered a fun pumptrack to different suburbs, with a permanent one coming soon for Long Bay (November 2026).

R  Work is underway to deliver a beach access mat in the Bays. This is a portable and removable rollout beach access mat designed to make the beach more accessible for people who use wheelchairs, walkers, mobility scooters or strollers.

R  We have been the strong and relentless advocates for the Glenvar and East Coast Roads upgrade project. Construction starts 2027.

R  We are the team that have written the vast majority of the local board’s feedback on a range of policy issues for Auckland and New Zealand on the things that matter to our residents (e.g Hauraki Gulf Marine Protection Act, waste minimisation, bin changes, bylaw enforcement etc).

R  We have improved the transparency of the local board's decision-making by creating policies and guidelines to support consistent and fair decision-making.

We instigated library drop-in sessions so we are even more available to residents and have instigated new or stronger relationships with iwi and our mataawaka marae.

R  Successfully lobbied for a community recycling centre for our community (funding is earmarked for Rosedale).

R  Tackled summer camping on our beach reserves.

R  Leaders of a local board that has developed new and exciting programmes like ‘kids panels’ to hear from and engage primary school aged students in our decision making; a dedicated building waste compliance enforcement officer; beach cameras installed to monitor how our coastlines are changing overtime; supporting Police programmes in our schools that positively engage and support our vulnerable young people; ‘Green Your Stream’ project that supports homeowners to clear and plant out stream banks that run through their property so the flow capacity is improved in storm events.

R  Resolved a wide range of local matters for residents: dangerous trees; broken footpaths; Council signs and the list goes on. We action your issues and complaints and are your trusted voices to advocate for the very best for our area.
